I decided it was time to give my front door area some love! Now that it's September and basically fall and all. Here are a few link-able ways you can spruce up your front porch under a budget!
For starters, I stopped by Home Depot to pick up two Boston Fern's for my black planters that will go on each side of my front door. Originally, I was going to pot two boxwood trees, but those are harder to keep alive and more expensive.
Boston Ferns are easier to keep alive through the year! I purchased two small sized ferns for $10 each from Home Depot. I wanted them smaller to allow more space entering and exiting the front door.
The gloves pictured above are from Home Depot and I'm wearing a Youth Medium. They're super cute, but more importantly very practical when re-potting plants. Linked similar ones Here.
I have always used Miracle-Gro for my indoor and outdoor plants. I grabbed the twice as big bag to ensure I had enough soil to fill up both pots! Potting Mix is linked Here.
We were very fortunate that the previous owners left these two black planters behind, so I didn't purchase these. But, I did find an affordable set from Wayfair that have the same qualities as the ones photographed above linked Here.

Next was the door mat! I have always loved buffalo check and I knew I wanted to add it under my welcome mat. The only problem is, is that our front porch isn't covered, so i was hesitant to do this due to weather conditions turning everything to dirt and grime.
So, I used ScotchGard to repel liquids and block stains! This is my first time attempting this outdoors, but eager to see how long the mats will last.
If you didn't know already, I own a massive German Shepherd and he is the king of our household! When I saw this mat, I knew I had to have it. I purchased this "I Hope You Like Dogs" mat from BDHomeCo Etsy shop: linked Here. She has a variety of fun sayings for your welcome mat!
I purchased the buffalo check mat form Amazon linked Here.
Now to the door accessories! I purchased this bronze wreath hanger form Target for only $5 and the yellow faux wreath for $25 from Target! Wreaths can be very expensive, this is technically supposed to be indoor use only, but it will work outdoors too, plus it was way cheaper than the other options!
We still need to pressure wash, but I love how it all turned out!
Just a simple, quick and budget friendly touch.
