This is my FIRST year decorating for Halloween! I’ve always decorated for the fall season with pumpkins here and there, anticipating the earliest moment I could decorate for Christmas. But this year was different.
It’s my first year as a home owner, so I decided to go ALL OUT! Of course going all out for me meant, on a budget.
*All Halloween/ Fall items were purchased from Dollar Tree, Home Goods, Hobby Lobby, Target and Amazon*
DINING ROOM TABLE
I wanted the center piece of my table to be set in a graveyard. I bought black wired tool from Dollar tree and unraveled it to put in my galvanized tray.
I really wanted black candles and I lucked out finding the ones pictured above from Hobby Lobby! The black candle stands and the mini cake stand are from Hobby Lobby too! All items were under $15!!
I had a hard time deciding which skull to put at the center of table... The skull candle was a Home Goods find for $5 and I purchased the plastic skull from Dollar Tree.
I decided on the plastic skull and added this headstone that lights up from the Dollar Tree.
I wanted to add a fall floral look to the table. I purchased these fall floral stems from the Dollar Tree and cut them up to go into my two glass vases from the Dollar section at Target. Super easy and inexpensive way to add florals to your home.
The salt n pepper, beads, tray and buffalo check runner I already had. Everything else only cost me a total of $30 to complete the look!
OK- I am batty over this project!
I purchased these Decorative Scary Bats Wall Decor from Amazon for $12. It came in 28 pieces: 8 big bats, 8 medium bats, 8 small bats and 4 tiny bats. These are reusable to use for years to come! you will just need to purchase more sticky tape!
Before I decorated with the bats I wanted to create a nice fall look to carry into November. Let's start from the bottom. I already had the wooden lantern, so I added faux fall leaves from Dollar Tree and threw them inside, leaving some hanging from the top!
Then, I found the cutest BOO candle stand from Home Goods for only $12! While I was in Kirkland's I found a set of three candle wooden stumps that matched perfectly with my BOO candle stand.
For the mantle area, I already had my three black iron candle holders. I decided to take the white candles I had them off and put the sequin pumpkins I found from the Dollar Tree on top. The hay bales are from the Dollar Tree too! I stacked those like a cute lil' pumpkin patch and added my sequin pumpkins from Dollar Tree and a few of my white plastic pumpkins found at Hobby Lobby in a pack for $5.
The standing skull head was another Dollar Tree find. I am really loving skulls this Halloween!
ISN'T THIS THE CUTEST!??
The bat placement was fun to do. I started from the bottom and worked my way to the top!
To decorate this mantle cost me under $30!
